Alice in Wonderland Love!

When you work in a female-oriented industry, there are bound to be celebrations! Few weeks ago we celebrated a special mom-to-be work friend. This past Thursday, the staff showered a bride-to-be and this post is about the adorable details that we all were able to put together.

I am surrounded by a very fun-loving and energetic staff who not only supports the crazy party ideas but also complements them with creative input. With so many willing and helping hands, a quite involved theme like Alice in Wonderland turned out to be a smooth project for this bridal shower. It was a very hand-made shower with real china and linen! Imagine having to do that for a time-slot of 3:00-3:30pm and limited budget! But thanks to the awesome girls at my workplace, it was a picture perfect display!

DSC_0873Keeping in mind bride-to-be’s love for Disney, the theme we chose was Alice in Wonderland. And this pretty lady is so obviously head over heals with her future Mr., we added the theme of LOVE to the decor! Hope you enjoy the pictures!DSC_0875DSC_0872_1DSC_0866DSC_0867DSC_0921DSC_0923DSC_0871DSC_0927DSC_0924DSC_0977

The beautiful paper flowers that enhanced the backdrop were hand-created by Heather, an avid pinner and creative crafter. She also did the calligraphy on the mirror “Let’s Have Tea with the Bride-to-be”. Do follow Heather to see her awesome boards and ideas! Thanks so much to the rest of the staff who helped so very much in cutting, pinning, stapling and hauling…and what not!

For this bridal shower, Tea Crockery provided the teaware, dessert china and linen along with the hand-made paper décor like buntings, cake topper, signs etc. Stay tuned for the templates and printabels from this shower, all of those can be customized for your needs. Follow my blog and you will be able to download them for free!! The finished products are available on my etsy shop as well.

As a DIYer, stylist and delicate china lover, I am always looking for opportunities to use my imagination for different projects. Thanks to the celebrations and love from my staff who trusted me and let me design the decor for this shower!

About Author

Hi and welcome to my blog!

My name is Riffat and I am the writer behind this blog. Through this blog I share many things I am enthusiastic about – my curated items from old era, passion for tea and tea parties, design and décor, DIY projects. I specifically like to create themed and seasonal parties incorporating vintage treasures. I am married to an awesome guy who has {a good case of} wanderlust and is a grand but healthy foodie. Occasionally I will be journaling and sharing his experiences in travel, recipes and restaurant reviews. On my blog you will also get to meet our 3 amazing boys – the oldest is neuro-diverse and his being on the spectrum has given a different and incredible meaning to our family! I would be a very different person without him. Besides enjoying my family and this blog, I am a full-time speech and language pathologist.

We recently moved to Dallas from Arizona. Back there, I ran a vintage china rental and sales business. I had the pleasure of working with some amazing vendors in the event industry and got featured on many international and national blogs. I started blogging specific to my collection but recently switched to life style blogging to touch more aspects of life.

Originally from Pakistan, I am a multicultural and multilingual person and enjoy diversity to its fullest. I welcome new things and ways and learn from them but believe in restoring and preserving as well. I love people who inspire each other, are successful holistically, spread positive vibes and make a difference in this world for themselves and individuals around them. Overall, I strive to be a very well-balanced person and this blog plays some part in achieving that!

I absolutely love to team up with creative minds! Feel free to contact me for style consultation, photo shoots, vintage & antique articles, tea parties and hand-made items. I also do product reviews and feature items on my blog. I have a small shop on etsy featuring my collection and hand-made items.
