Decor & Style Inspiration Hand-made

Something for your spring bash!

Every season brings its own joys and themes for party planners and stylists. Celebrations have no weather specifications but right after the winters end and before the hot hot summers begin, we all naturally gear up to enjoy the pretty sunshine and the perfect cool air. The weather amenities of spring provide us convenient opportunities to throw get-togethers – brunches, showers, teas, weddings. Party is not a one-(wo)man-show really; good and stylish fetes are made pretty and memorable with accents details. There is no place better to look for those fine touches than Etsy! In this post, exclusive to Etsy friend vendors, you will get to enjoy ways to beautify your sprint gatherings and home! I am sure something will fit your party and décor need this spring and even afterwards ~ make your friendships, gift-givings and hosting styles memorable – read on for my favorite picks of hand-made goodness!

Buntings are my favorite décor! When it comes to buntings or flags as we call them in the US, England is the place to be! The specific sewn fabric buntings are a necessary touch to almost all festivities, especially tea! With vintage party trends becoming a hit in 2011ish all over the world till today, these one of the oldest forms of celebratory decoration made their way to many parts of the world and they continue to charm the parties in their own variations. This one is created by Nessa from Nessa Foye – and it does not come as a surprise that she grew up in England! She started this shop after moving to US some years ago. Just look how cute these are and perfect for tea, mother’s day or shower!!

Paper and flowers is a great combination when it comes to backdrops and other nice touches! The pretty flower garland featured below can be used in multiple ways… hang it on a wall, drape along a table, or bunch few of them together as a table runner. The flowers are detachable and make it easier to handle and hang. Katherine, the owner and designer of PaperKatDesigns loves to be able to send off decorations to people for their special events! What a pretty and whimsical décor that can add spring flair to showers, birthdays, nursery, office!!

No party is complete without cake or cupcake – the cake toppers have been essential for some time now. The regular swirled cream on top of a cupcake seems so not stylish. You can decorate your cupcakes with edible or non-edible décor. This one made by Angel from Bacan Cakes is perfect for your spring bash! With pretty butterflies and little flowers, the spring is so in the air! You can order these at her shop and dress up your ordinary cupcakes. These for sure will give update your ordiniary dessert!

These pinwheels are one of the best childhood reminders of spring and summer times! The sweet nectar pastel sequined pinwheels make very cute cake toppers, a fun thing in a goodie bag or photo props. These are hand-cut and folded in whimsical designer paper by Jamie of Glitter Frills. Check out their other designs and livley colors as well to suit your theme!

Hi and welcome to my blog!

My name is Riffat and I am the writer behind this blog. Through this blog I share many things I am enthusiastic about – my curated items from old era, passion for tea and tea parties, design and décor, DIY projects. I specifically like to create themed and seasonal parties incorporating vintage treasures. I am married to an awesome guy who has {a good case of} wanderlust and is a grand but healthy foodie. Occasionally I will be journaling and sharing his experiences in travel, recipes and restaurant reviews. On my blog you will also get to meet our 3 amazing boys – the oldest is neuro-diverse and his being on the spectrum has given a different and incredible meaning to our family! I would be a very different person without him. Besides enjoying my family and this blog, I am a full-time speech and language pathologist.

We recently moved to Dallas from Arizona. Back there, I ran a vintage china rental and sales business. I had the pleasure of working with some amazing vendors in the event industry and got featured on many international and national blogs. I started blogging specific to my collection but recently switched to life style blogging to touch more aspects of life.

Originally from Pakistan, I am a multicultural and multilingual person and enjoy diversity to its fullest. I welcome new things and ways and learn from them but believe in restoring and preserving as well. I love people who inspire each other, are successful holistically, spread positive vibes and make a difference in this world for themselves and individuals around them. Overall, I strive to be a very well-balanced person and this blog plays some part in achieving that!

I absolutely love to team up with creative minds! Feel free to contact me for style consultation, photo shoots, vintage & antique articles, tea parties and hand-made items. I also do product reviews and feature items on my blog. I have a small shop on etsy featuring my collection and hand-made items.
