Lovely holiday for Mum!

Whether your mom fancies tea or you just want to celebrate this timeless tradition of motherhood with your friends, tea party is always a very charming choice! Tea makes any occasion warm and cordial. The wonderful thing about arranging tea is you can create the atmosphere with just few right things; you can keep it simple and elegant or build on it to be as formal as you want.

It is always exciting to look for backdrops, incorporate paper signs, calligraphy and style in a venue – but in heart of my heart I love boutique intimate events in the comfort of home. A time-honored tradition of hosting tea for a heartfelt occasion like Mother’s Day does need a traditional and personal feel. I decided to style and shoot the tea-table in my dining room with china cabinet of my personal antique crockery collection as the backdrop. Here is for your review my much-loved (and most of them pre-loved) pieces along with some amazing delectable desserts and treats by Black Flour, Arielle Pastry Works, Tart-a-licious and 85C Bakery Cafe.

Most of the china I used in the shoot is vintage and some new Royal Albert pieces, an elite tabletop from England. I have over thousands of pieces in my inventory but nothing graces a tea-table more elegantly than Royal Albert crockery. The Country Roses pattern along with the white background was the motif of my mood board I provided the vendors for the shoot – as evident from the table, the friends who helped me with food were doubtlessly on the same page.
